EDMONTON/630CHED
- Barrington Leigh family members are telling 630 CHED, the body of a
man pulled from the North Saskatchewan River this morning is that of
Robert Barrington Leigh, a missing 20-year-old university student.
The body was found near 99th Avenue and 92nd Street before noon.
Barrington
Leigh disappeared after telling his family he was biking over to the
end of Folk Fest, Sunday, August 13th. Search groups have been out
looking for him every day since then, on the southside, Mill Creek
ravine and parts of the river valley.
The family is thanking all those who searched, as well as police and media.

Edmonton
firefighters pulled a body from the North Saskatchewan River late this
morning, near 92nd Street and 99th Avenue.
It was in some debris at the side of the river.
John Barrington Leigh with Christopher at his side met with reporters confirming the news.
Christopher didn't want to say much, other than give thanks for the search effort

The
discovery was just across the river from Gallagher Park, where Robert
Barrington Leigh was last seen leaving his parents' home on his
mountain bike Aug. 13, headed for the Edmonton Folk Music Festival.
