EDMONTON ALBERTA / 630 CHED
- The family of a missing University of Toronto math whiz says it hopes
to drum up more leads in the case by offering a five-thousand-dollar
reward.
Twenty-year-old
Robert Barrington Leigh hasn't been seen since 10:30 p.m. on August
13th when he left his family's home in Edmonton on his bicycle to meet
some friends at a folk music festival.
More than 100 volunteers
spent the past week combing the North Saskatchewan River valley in the
city for clues, but haven't turned up anything and police have called
off their search.
Family say it would be out of character for him to run away.
Leigh's last contact was a text message sent to his girlfriend, Lucy Zhang.
Telus
and police confirmed Sunday that message bounced off a cellphone tower
in the river valley at 11:34 p.m. on the night of Barrington Leigh's
disappearance.
