Search for missing man continues ...
Aug, 16 2006 - 4:20 PM

EDMONTON/630 CHED - A search involving family and friends is underway in the river valley this afternoon.

They are looking for Robert Barrington-Leigh, a 20-year-old honours student who disappeared Sunday night when he took his bike to go check out the Folk Music Festival.

Janet Hardy is a family friend who's helping co-ordinate the search.

They're looking this afternoon under the High Level Bridge, after searching near 99th street yesterday, believing that Robert took a round about way of getting back to Old Strathcona because the light was better.

Police have put Air One into action to help in the search. (ccg)
